We have vacancies for Booksellers at our Melrose Arch store.
This position entails the following:
* Unpacking, organising and maintaining our book collection
* Creating new title displays and merchandising
* Assisting customers both via the telephone and in person
* Assisting with customer queries and book searches of all kinds
* Placing customer orders and notifying customers of orders received
* Assisting in the organisation of book related events
* Performing sale and refund transactions on our point of sale system
The successful candidate must have:
* Above average perceptive and linguistic skills
* An excellent command of the English language
* Friendly, considerate and responsible behaviour
* A broad general knowledge including the arts, literature, history and current affairs
* An active engagement with books within your preferred genre
* A proactive response to challenges and pressure
* Matric/NQF level 4
* Must be able to work Saturdays and /or Sundays
