Hello, my daughter Caitlin Taylor is a first year student at Wits, doing English and Media Studies.
She got a distinction for English in Matric last year (five distinctions in total).

She would like to work at Exclusives Rosebank or Hyde park evenings or weekends.
Any interest? Ring me on 082 373 7714 if you’d like her to come for an interview.
    Best wishes, Sue

      Hi Sue

Unfortunately your daughter will have to go to the store she is interested in and hand in her CV and inquire about available positions there herself. Each store hires its own staff, especially casual staff who work evenings and weekends.

She does sound like a perfect candidate to be a bookseller though :)

      Hi Nasreen,

Please contact our product department at product@exclusivebooks.co.za for further details. However, please be aware that we do not buy books directly from authors, but from publishers and distributors. If you are registered with one of our approved vendors, then it is up to your publisher/distributor to contact us to confirm stock availability.

Hiya:) I’d very much like the opportunity to work at Exclusives as Casual Staff. I’m quite certain I have some great qualifications for it, but I don’t want to be presumptuous and walk into the store flashing a CV. Can someone please help me with the protocol for this kind of application? Who I can contact and if I have to wait for a vacancy or apply now if I want to work as casual staff? Thank you!

      Hi Ronel,

Lovely! You’re in the right place. We post vacancies here to our blog, so it is a good idea to add the blog as an RSS feed. If you are curious about a store in your area, it often helps to email the store and ask if there are any spaces for casual staff members. In the run up to Christmas, we definitely need lots of casual staff! I am about to post two vacancies, one of which is in Joburg, so please do keep an eye out. Hope this helps!

      Hi Boitumelo,

It would be lovely to have you join our team! We post vacancies on a monthly basis to our blog, but it is also sometimes worthwhile to email the store you’d like to work in to see if they are looking for staff. As we go into the hectic year-end, many stores will be in need of more staff, so please do apply! You can find the email for your closest or favourite EB here: http://www.exclus1ves.co.za/stores/

Hello, I’m a sixteen year old student in Durban and I was wondering if there were any part time jobs(for example, during the June holidays) that I’d be able to do.
    Thank you.

      Hi Annelisa

Unfortunately our stores require a minimum qualification of a Matric certificate when hiring staff. Thank you for your enthusiasm though, we look forward to receiving your application once you have matriculated.
