South Africans, get ready for National Book Week!
National Book Week is a joint initiative between the South African Book Development Council and the Department of Arts and Culture and takes place in the first week of September every year. During this time all involved in reading, schools, libraries, reading promotion projects and corporate social investments programmes are encouraged to celebrate reading and the magic of books.
Every year as part of National Book Week, the #BUY_A_BOOK campaign encourages everyone to purchase any of the week’s featured books for R20 each and drop them in the clearly-marked National Book Week donation bins in stores. All donated books will be given to National Book Week reading projects.
This year #BUY_A_BOOK will run from 1 – 18 September. Visit your nearest Exclusive Books store to donate a book to this worthy cause.
