Annie Bell trained as a chef and spent several years as cookery writer for Vogue, then as food writer on The Independent. She has been the principal cookery writer on the Mail on Sunday YOU magazine for many years, and she was winner of the Guild of Food Writers’ Journalist of the Year Award in 2003. She has been writing cookbooks since 1994 and has amassed an enormous following on her food stories in Mail on Sunday YOU magazine. Her previous books include the Gorgeous series, The Camping Cookbook , Soup Glorious Soup and The Picnic Cookbook. Gorgeous Cakes has sold in excess of 250 000 copies.[1]
