If you don’t have any plans for the upcoming weekend, then the one place you have to be is at ICON 2012! ICON is a yearly gaming convention that is fast becoming one of the biggest conventions in South Africa.

There is so much to do, see and participate in at ICON that the event takes place over 3 days in order to accommodate everything. Icon runs from 13 – 15 July and takes place at the Jabula Rec. Centre, Sandringham, Joburg. You can get directions to the event using this link.

As with most major Cons, there is so much going on over the weekend that a certain amount of planning is involved in order to ensure you get to participate in all the events you would like. So make sure you take a look at the full ICON 2012 brochure before heading to the event!

 
We here at Exclus1ves.co.za love gamers and geeks, so we decided to put together a competition exclusively for those attending ICON 2012! We have 2 amazing hampers worth over R2500 available, one for Xbox 360 and one for PS3 (both hampers also have some PC games included).

The way to enter the competition is simple, while at ICON if you see a game you like simply pop onto www.exclus1ves.co.za and find the game on our website (boardgames and console/PC games count). Once you have the link, paste it into a comment in this blog post and you will be entered into the competition! Also remember to tell us which hamper you would like to win, PS3 or XBOX.

Also remember that only comments received within the duration of ICON will be considered valid, so make sure you are actually at the event!
