The First Letter From Our New CEO Benjamin Trisk

Dear readers,

We would like to introduce you to our new CEO, Benjamin Trisk. He has recently taken the helm of our company, and has already begun an exciting series of initiatives that we think you will absolutely love in the year to come. We can’t discuss any of it just yet, but as soon as the details are pinned down and we can deliver on our promises, we will share it with you first!

Benjamin has over 40 years experience in financial markets across the academic, industrial and mining fields. He earned a BA from UCT (with a distinction in his Political Philosophy Major) and an  MBA from UCT with a Distinction for this thesis: Portfolio Theory and its application to South African Equity Markets. Following his MBA, Bejamin taught at the University of the Witwaterstrand together with Ian Kantor, the founder of Investec, in the Department of Financial Economics. He has wide-ranging experience as a dealmaker and during the time he was Executive General Manager of Premier Group Holdings, he was responsible for Strategeic Management at group level and sat on the borards of many of Premier’s quoted subsidiaries.

Prior to his appoinment as Executive General Manager he was the CEO of Exclusive Books. His public company directorships included CNA-Gallo, Gresham Industries, Alexander Lipworth Pharmaceuticals and Ovenstone Fishing. He also shared responsibility for mergers and acquisitions and worked closely with Premier’s chairman in this regard. Benjamin left the corporate sector in 1988 to conduct several proprietary transactions and also provided corporate finance advisory services to high value clients.  Benjamin has extensive experience in business valuations, acquisitions and disposals, management of new and mature companies and turnaround situations.

Over his career he has built an enviable network that is a constant source of leads and valuation informtion. Bejamin has a passion for fine food, books and art. He lives with his family in Sandhurst, Johannesburg.

    Dear Mr Trisk, I was watching ANN7 news channel today,and you mention a competition you are presently having with exclusive books,my query is,is the competition for a certain course or is it a competition to study any course.Please could I have more information on this competition.
